The Monastery of St. Charalambos is located at the steep northeastern corner of Skiathos Island, and it has been renovated in 1809, while the iconostasis and most icons are dating back from 1822 .
Alexandros Moraitidis, the writer and cousin of novelist Alexandros Papadiamantis lived the last years of his life at the Monastery of St. Charalambos, as a monk.
Nowadays the monastery is refurbished and is in excellent condition and certainly a part of Skiathos to visit.
